How To Unlock Wii Consoles

The Wii console is one of the most popular c0nsoles around at the minute and just seems to be growing in popularity due to it being more of a social gaming console that one that encourages gamers to sit on their own in a dark room. Nintendo, for some reason did not unlock all the capabilites and a lot of people are asking how to unlock Wii consoles ?

Ways To Unlock Your Wii

From my experience there are a couple of ways to unlock your Wii and open up all the features that Nintendo left out including the ability to be able to play DVD films directly on the Wii:-

• Chip Your Wii
• Unlock Your Wii by using software

Software Unlock

I opted for the latter option as the thought of losing my warranty and the risk of breaking my Wii was a scary thought one I did not want to face. I think you can send your Wii away to chip the main board for unlocking, but the software sounds a lot easier to me.

Copying Wii Games

By unlocking my Wii I didn’t realise how any extra things you can actually do with your console . One of the main benefits of unlocking my Wii was that I can play my backed up games on the console without damaging the originals. I have now made a copy of all my games and just play these so no more scratched games.
